Mandate

Since 2018, Erod has overseen a large portion of the actions related to the Mejicano brand image, and for redesigning this image through the company’s website, tortilla packaging, and social media content. 

To do this, several photoshoots are organized throughout the year, and visuals for creating original recipes and personalized content is then posted across the various platforms. 

By emphasizing the pillars of the brand (authentic, festive, affordable), we are challenging the competition and working to move the brand into a more prominent position in the market.

Think

Our mandate for Mejicano’s social media platforms is to build an even more engaged community through personalized content. In this way, we hope to increase the brand’s reach, as well as brand awareness. 


We have ensured that the packaging for Mejicano products clearly stands out from the competition with bright, eye-catching colours supported by graphics that reflect the brand’s roots while taking care to avoid cultural appropriation—we focus instead on offering a respectful nod to the origin of the products. Erod is also behind the creation of the new packaging for Mejicano’s entry at Costco with the company’s new, 90-calorie tortillas. We took advantage of this opportunity to update the image for the whole range of tortilla product packaging while emphasizing the brand’s pillars.

The entire brand image created by Erod aims to distinguish itself from the competition in all of its expressions by taking an artistic direction that is based on the use of colour and an appreciation for details. It strikes a balance between a commercial aesthetic that serves the product and its target customers, and a more artisanal aesthetic that refers directly back to the origins of the product and the lively, festive colours of Mexican culture. 


We create appealing visuals and develop highly original recipes, taking inspiration from the best food trends on social media.

The evolution of the multi-flavoured tortilla brand is carried out with the goal of reaching the greatest number of people possible, and increasing the brand’s audience while maintaining its existing customer base. By growing the brand’s presence and keeping a tight watch on social media trends, and through the gradual roll-out of new packaging in stores, we create an image that is fresh, adaptable, and in tune with the needs of its clientele. We amplify the brand image by ensuring that the pillars of the brand always shine through, on both the virtual and material fronts.
